Permanent space alteration. Long Island, New York.

A retail storefront is transformed into a two level Art/Photography studio, the two levels joined by a custom designed steel and concrete staircase.

By eliminating all the surface coverings, exposing every detail in the process and focusing on the nature of materials used and the quality of workmanship involved, this project pays homage to manual labor and the anonymous daily worker.
