Sphinx with(out) a Riddle. 1991.

Site specific installation.

Interactive installation using the viewer as the “cornerstone” to his awareness of the specific site.
When standing at the proper spot in the room (riddle) an imaginary line is drawn in the viewer’s mind connecting the apices of an invisible symmetrical three-dimensional shape defining a cubic volume. When the viewer moves, the volume dissipates.
