Water OVER the Bridge. 1989- onwards.

Open Project.

Competition Diomede. 1989.
A traveling project organized by the PS-1 Museum of New York and the USSR Union of Architects, Moscow.
Aiming to symbolically “unite” the two small Diomedes Islands in the Bering Strait (the frontiers of Alaska and Siberia) on the International Dateline that divides the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, the project called on proposals that mark the end of infinite territorial frontiers and the true acceptance of our human existence on a fragile and finite globe.

A MATTER OF FLEXIBILITY.
“It is very simple”, the Queen said,
“when the river wants to cross the bridge, the bridge MUST bow!”

Presented at Clocktower, New York and the San Francisco State University Art Department Gallery. San Francisco, CA.
